You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven .(Matthew 5:14-16)
Adolescence is the moment when you ask yourself the most fundamental questions in life: Why do I exist? Am I beautiful? What does living for real mean? What was I created for? What do I want to become? Who can I trust and who can I not trust? For many, adolescence is one of the most difficult periods in life.
Impact is a group of teenagers who want some light shed upon these questions and desire guidance in difficult moments. There are two reasons why this is possible. First, the group is formed mainly by teens with the same problems and challenges and, secondly, we try to follow the teachings and model of our Lord Jesus Christ. We base our lives upon what God says about us and our mission upon what He expects of us.
We are a small group but open to receive teens between 13 and19 years old. We meet every Thursday starting at 6 p.m. to have discussions and fun. There are three leaders Anca, Tibe and Stefan who give advice and teach principles so teens can live in a healthy and wise way. We know that there is a difference between being intelligent and being smart and we choose to strive to reach our potential, not to brag about what we don’t yet have. We are involved in humanitarian projects and we volunteer at Casa Agar (House of Hagar) where we take care of the children.
